We have played a couple of good team in exhibition games recently played ladies to get some of the cobwebs off of our bodies and start trying to peak for our first cup game on April 11th.
We picked up games against a visiting girls U16 Lehtbridge FC team and played the powerful GU16 Metro team. Both games saw our team very low in numbers with many girls away on holidays. Given the many visiting players we used in the Lethbridge game it was not a surprise we did get our game flowing as we normally do - we had 6 players from 4 different teams help bolster our numbers. Against the strong GU16 team - whom we usually have very good games - we again had to call up a coupel of players to bolster our numbers and get us up to one spare player. So, the result was not surprising given our time off and lack of key players.
So, like I said ... take these games for what they are; exhibition games, without our full team; playing for fun and getting back into game shape. Use what you saw in the game to make us better players.
