It has been a long haul girls ... our last game was Feb. 21st and our next game is April 11th . So it is important that we start start top focus our attention and energies to our first round of Cup play. In the next couple of week we will arrange some exhibitions and the coaches will focus our training to the task at hand.
What can you do to help focus???
- stay in shape by: jogging; doing strength/stability exercises; doing soccer-specific fartlek-type exercises (look that one up)
- continue to work on your soccer foot skills by juggling, kickking around with a freind/family member
- practise PK's
- review team booklet / manual i.e. positional roles; set-plays; etc.
- talk to your school teachers / coaches about your schedule to possibly take some of the physical and mental pressure off of you (remember ... school work first)
- Metro before school soccer !!!
- remove or put on hold some of the other distractions in your life
- review your Metro year and successes by looking through this website
